<title>Summer Quest Launch</title>
<link>http://www.takomapark.info/library/children/archives/003024.html</link>
<description>Join us on Monday, June 10 at 7 p.m. as we launch this year&apos;s Summer Quest, our unique, interactive summer reading program. This year&apos;s theme is robots, and the story involves lots of technology running merrily amuck. Each year, we are the only library in Maryland to create our own summer reading program, which is crafted, as usual, by Library Assistant Dave Burbank. If you can&apos;t make it to the June 10 launch, don&apos;t worry -- you can sign up anytime this summer. If you&apos;re coming to the launch, we encourage you to register at

<title>Children&apos;s Book Week</title>
<link>http://www.takomapark.info/library/children/archives/003018.html</link>
<description>We&apos;re closing in on the end of Children&apos;s Book Week 2013, but there&apos;s still time to participate in our Caldecott Medal contest. Just come to the library and vote for your favorite Caldecott Medal or Caldecott Honor book. To help jog your memory, we&apos;ve got a list at the main desk of all of the Medal and Honor books from 1938 to the current day. On Monday, May 20 we&apos;ll pull out three winners, who will receive a Caldecott Medal or Caldecott Honor book. We&apos;ll also publish the results of the voting. It&apos;s our way of celebrating both the 75th birthday of the Caldecott Medal and Children&apos;s Book Week!

Children&apos;s Book Week also means the announcement of the winners of the Children&apos;s Choice Book Awards, the only awards the reflect the voices of young readers themselves. Here&apos;s a look of this year&apos;s winners:
